We visited corn mill after a walk around Attenborough nature reserve. The restaurant is clean, cosy and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Adam he looked after us and was very professional in his role! Great service, tasty Sunday roast and nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.

Poor and slow service. It was a busy Saturday night and the staff seemed over stretched and badly prepared. I was surprised that the food wasn't better and the portions bigger. Save your money and go to Weatherspoons!

I recently visited The Cornmill with my wife and eldest son after picking him up from work, intending to have a family meal. We settled at a table, and after about 15 minutes, a manager approached and asked my son for ID. He didn’t have it with him (as he doesn’t carry his driving licence everywhere). They said they would remove his drink; I pointed out that they will not as have I had paid for it and would drink it myself, and they agreed. Unfortunately, our server then made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Every few minutes they would walk by and stare at our table, almost as if they were looking for trouble. This happened repeatedly, even though we’re a normal family simply browsing the menu. It got so awkward that we decided to leave before even ordering any food. While I understand the importance of checking IDs, the way it was handled and the continual scrutiny afterward was so incredibly off-putting and unwelcoming. We left feeling disappointed and sadly as friends and family members, will not be returning. If The Cornmill wants to retain customers, they should have their staff focus more on genuine hospitality rather than making patrons feel like they’re under constant suspicion.

We had a Sunday dinner and it was very nice. Service and food are always very good. On previous visits, I have had the rib eye steak and again always very good. Top marks

Had dinner at the Corn Mill and had a disappointing meal. The pub is a nice environment and the staff are friendly and attentive so there was nothing not to like about the venue. Greene King pubs usually meet a good stand, but the steak I ordered fell short of my expectations. This was the 10oz Ribeye which one of the more expensive options and turned out to be the worst I have had for a couple of years. Presentationally the meal was fine and the steak cooked as I ordered, so perhaps I was just unlucky to receive a tough and chewy lump of meat. I also ordered some beer burnt ends as an accompaniment which were fatty and not worth the additional money. I guess with steak you get what you pay for. I could pay 30% more at another restaurant which really would give me something to complain about out if the meal was bad. I will return so don’t be put off. The pub is good, but the steak is not.

Enjoyed visiting here, was fairly busy but service was good. Plenty of seating, spread out so far enough apart from the next table. Prices are reasonable.

Good place for a quick bite to eat or to meet friends and catch up. Only minor gripe is poor beer selection with nothing Belgian stocked but apart from that all good

Lovely pub, fantastic service and atmosphere. However we (of 8 people 5 had burgers) didn't reckon much to their 'signature' burgers. Nothing special, and expensive for what you get. Also received a few green ended chips- I know it's not a big deal but why would you let them go out on the plate!?

I’ve given it some time from all the changes with management to see how’s it’s doing, I had previously given 5stars and now dropped it to 2. The standards have dropped majorly and I’ve reduced the times I go there now because of this. Very disappointing considering it was a 5 start to me. Reduced again. The place is getting worse. What are greenking playing at. Now a 1 star. Greenling sort this place out. As a once regular it’s nowhere near as good as it was, footfall is a lot less that how it used to be and a lot of regulars have left.
